August 2019 Focus

God has blessed us mightily these past seven months, and He continues to give us joy and new opportunities in Kingdom Building. This month, AUGUST, the eighth (8) month of the year is a sign that abundance will soon be coming your way. When you see the number 8 appearing again and again in your experience, it is no coincidence (Hint: believe and receive God’s Word...Trust Him always in-spite of your circumstances...He loves blessing His children.). It is most likely that your guardian angels are giving you a heads-up about the abundance that will soon be coming your way... Hallelujah!

My focus is the number 8. Eight (8) is very significant such that it is used 73 times in the Bible. It is the symbol of Resurrection and Regeneration. In Bible numerology, 8 means new beginning; it denotes “a new order or creation and man's true 'born again' event when he is resurrected from the dead into eternal life.”

Since 8 comes after 7, the number of completeness signifying an end to something, it implies 8 is associated with the beginning of a new era or that of a new order. The 8 creative words of God in 6 days, in Genesis Chapter 1, Verses 3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, 26 speak of a new order. God rested on the 7th day, and the 8th day was a new beginning (Genesis 2:2–3). Jesus rose on the 8th day, the first day of the week, which was a new beginning for the world (John 20:1-21). Eight persons were saved from the Flood in Noah's Ark in order to have a new beginning for mankind (Genesis 7,13). Also, eight men: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, James, Peter, Jude and Paul, were chosen by God to enable us to have the New Testament in written form. The Lord Jesus presented 8 be-attitudes in His sermon on the mountain to new believers destined for God's kingdom (Matthew 5:3-11).

Eight is symbolic of the New Life, the anticipated Resurrection (i.e. the baptism of believers) and the final Resurrection (i.e. the raising up of sleeping [dead] saints). To confirm this, Jesus showed Himself alive 8 times after His resurrection from the dead (Matthew 28:16-17; Mark 16:9-11; Luke 24:15-52; John 20:19-24, 26-29; John 21:1-24; Acts 1:3-10; 1 Corinthians 15:4-7). Now for this month, meditate on letting go of the past and free yourself of failures and disappointments. Embrace a new perspective—a fresh look at the future and all the wonderful possibilities it holds. In the name of Jesus Christ...God loves you and so do I. Amen!
